I thought that I knew God. I believed in Him, but I actually didn’t understand anything.
After I got married and had 2 children, I began to play on gambling machines. My marriage was hanging by a thread. I stopped gambling and started a business, which was hard and long. So, I decided to speed up my earnings by investing in shares, which turned into gambling again, and I fell into debt. At this time, my marriage fell apart and I was very disappointed. I wanted to find another partner, but wasn’t successful, neither was I able to stop smoking. And as a result of stress, I had high blood pressure.
I didn’t know how to go on – I felt sad and confused. And so, I turned to the Lord for the first time by kneeling down and asking Him to help me. God made a miracle happen, because 14 days later I was invited to the Revival Fellowship in an interesting way – I was looking for a shop in a place where I knew that it wasn’t, and someone gave me an invitation to a Revival meeting.
A few weeks later, I went to a meeting and got baptised by full immersion the same day. Two days later, I received the Holy Spirit and spoke in tongues while praying with brothers from the Fellowship. I knew that this was a new start to my life. Several days later, after praying in tongues, I stopped smoking without any withdrawal symptoms at all! My high blood pressure left me, because God gives me peace and joy.
God took away my desire for financial riches, and helped me to get rid of my debts through giving me a new attitude towards money.
When my parents saw the change in me, they also started a new life with God. They got baptised by full immersion in water and God filled them with the Holy Spirit, as He did for me, and they began to speak with new tongues.
Now, I know how to continue in my life. God showed me the true meaning of life. I know that Jesus Christ was sacrificed for us and rose from the dead through the same Spirit which God also placed in me. Praise God!
